Statistics / Metrics

Since August 2019, article views and the number of downloaded documents (e.g. PDFs) have been counted by the Open Journal Systems (OJS) software and displayed cumulatively in the individual view of the articles. Files that are assigned to the same article (e.g. supplements) are counted individually.

How exactly OJS counts article views and the number of downloaded documents can be viewed directly at the Public Knowledge Project.

The plugin for the statistics display was developed at the SUB Hamburg and can be downloaded at https://github.com/ohilbig01/simpleStatistics.

No personal data is stored when the usage statistics are recorded. The protection of personal data is therefore guaranteed.
